The winners of the 2019 edition of the software hackathon of NACOSS will go home with cash rewards and other consolation items.
The hackathon is organized as part of the annual events of the National Association of Computer Science Students; an umbrella body of over 300,000 students studying computer-related disciplines across tertiary institutions in Nigeria. As a key sponsor, VoguePay endows software developers with cash awards and other consolation prizes for developing innovative solutions that can impact and improve various sectors of Nigeria’s economy.
This year’s edition will hold at Baze University, FCT. Abuja, from the 16th to 19th of October 2019.
The contest is designed to showcase the depth of the entrepreneurial skills of the students and encourage them to develop local content that would support the Nigerian software market and become competitive to meet global demand.
Our CEO, Michael Simeon, notes that all this effort is to show the need to invest in the new generation of software developers and businesses by raising awareness and supporting local talents in software development among students of tertiary institutions.
To be among the three winning ideas will receive cash prizes of N100,000, N75,000 and N50,000 respectively, go ahead to register here.
