VoguePay excels at Africa’s biggest Fintech event

We accepted the invitation to pitch at the Fintech-Africa and it was memorable.

The 2-day Finance-Indaba event was held at the Sandton convention center, Johannesburg, South Africa. It is arguably the biggest Fintech event in Africa.

As one of the top 3 in the payment and transfer category, we had 5 minutes to pitch VoguePay to a selection of judges and audience of key industry players. Because we have a business that has helped over 50,000 merchants in the last 4 years, it was easy to make a pitch that shows how VoguePay is making a difference to small businesses across Africa and in other continents.

Here is a video highlight of the pitch which was delivered by Wole Ogunlade, the head of our Digital Media strategy.

Overall, the experience of the 2 days event was worthwhile. It gave us the privilege to tell our remarkable story and also to connect with other fintech players across Africa.

We were duly represented at the event by 3 of our  co-founders (Leke Ojikutu — CTO, Geoffrey Weli-Wosu — Marketing, Legal and Compliance and Quam Ojikutu — COO)  and also, the head, digital media and strategy team, who made the pitch at the event.

We stopped by to take a pose with Nelson Mandela to signify that payment solutions in Africa is taking its own long walk to freedom 🙂
